In My Cart: Mango

Considering that my last post was about being traumatized by nightmares and the one before that was about how modern life can be cripplingly complicated and overwhelming, I figured it was time to bring some levity into the mix. So here we are with another In My Cart, and this time you're going to get a glimpse into my tendency toward mania when it comes to Mango. Maybe it's because there are no Mango stores to be found anywhere in the state of California, or maybe it's because I'm just a sucker for European fast fashion (Zara, COS, H&M), but either way when I start browsing through their wares online I quickly get sucked into a vortex from which there is no escape. And by no escape I mean that I don't escape without purchasing at least a couple of items.

Imagine my delight/dismay when I did so recently and discovered that their summer line is positively teeming with covetable pieces that (a) won't bankrupt you and (b) are on-trend but not so much so that you won't wear them for years to come. I'm pretty sure I got carpal tunnel from the speed with which I clicked items into my cart but whatevs. My collection feels like the perfect capsule wardrobe, with items you can mix and match to your heart's content.

I've compiled my favorites below. Some of them I've already bought and are in a holding pattern in my closet until which time it is cool enough in Los Angeles to wear anything other than a tank top I've crudely fashioned out of duct tape and ice packs.
